Words

Colby has really been amazing us (and making us laugh) with his talking lately. It's all happening so fast, and I'm afraid I'm not paying as much attention as I should be (with the new distraction here and all). I listed some of his sayings a couple months ago, but here are some new ones. He was in a particularly chatty mood tonight, so we got him to repeat some of them for the camera. (It's a long one...maybe one of those videos best suited for grandparents)

Here's some of what you'll hear:

Bandaaaid: Bandaid said with a very southern drawl
Poopie: Colby (He often refers to himself in the 3rd person: ex: Poopie fall down)
Baby doodoo: baby sister
Bee cereal: cheerios
Mama dooooo or dada dooooo: What he says when he needs us to do something
Bayo: raspberries or strawberries
Weird throaty noise: This is his word for juice. It's the weirdest thing you've ever heard, and there's no way anyone else would know what he's saying
Pop pop: Lollypop

So without further ado, here is Colby and his words.

Very cute, Laura. His word for raspberries and strawberries reminds me of Will's word for apples at the same age...bot. It was so funny...he'd point to pictures of apples in storybooks and say, loudly, "bot!" Don't you wonder what goes through their heads sometimes?
