What happens if...

This is a word-for-word conversation that I had with Colby today. Is this normal? Well, it is in our house....about every 5 minutes normal.

Momma, what happens if you cross the yellow line? (asked while I was driving)
You could get into an accident.
What happens if you cross it but don't get in an accident?
The police officer will give you a ticket.
What if I throw the ticket on the ground?
The police officer will find you.
What happens if I throw it down and then run away?
The police officer will go to your house and find you.
What if I run away to Africa?
The police officer will find you there.
What if I hide behind a bush in Africa?

And so on...and so on...it only ends if I some how distract him with something very interesting.

Later tonight before bed...

Momma, what happens if I get out of bed in the night time?
I know you won't do that because you are a big boy.
But what happens if I do?
Then you'll get a warning.
What if I do abra-cadabra and make the warning go away?

Oy.
